Your files and its memory live on your computer. The private codes that let it reach your AI account sit in your computer’s built-in password store, where we have no way to read them.

An AI account

Archie runs your agent. You open the account yourself, in your own name, and you can change it per agent later. The dashed tile is for any AI service that works like OpenAI’s, such as Venice.

Your AI company bills you: up to $5 a month for a handful of tasks a day. Check heavier-use costs.

A new install can get free credits for 14 days or until they run out, or Personal can include the AI.

Both run through a server of ours, and email and text reading need your own account.

The Archie app

Free at 20 jobs a day on your own AI account; a job is a reply, a routine run or an email it reacts to. Paid plans from $30 a month. See every cost.

You sign in to the app. We hold your email address, your plan and the operational records we list, and never a conversation we can read.

Optional phone access

Telegram, Discord, Slack, Matrix, or iMessage on a Mac. Or talk inside Archie.

WhatsApp isn’t supported. A chat app carries your agent’s messages through its own servers, so we made Archie Mobile, for iPhone and Android.

The whole kit: a computer awake while your agent works, a router it reaches by cable or Wi-Fi, and the phone you already have. Each message also goes out to the AI company you picked. Nothing crossed off is needed.

What to skip, and what helps

Not needed

  • A good graphics card. Your AI company does the thinking
  • A fast or new computer. It mostly sits idle
  • A server or NAS. Archie is a desktop app
  • A second monitor, or any after setup. Your phone will do
  • A separate internet connection or static address. Archie starts every connection itself, so there is nothing to open on your router

Worth having

  • An Ethernet cable, if the computer sits near the router
  • Disk space, for audio and video work, which runs on your computer
  • A power strip with battery backup, if your power flickers
  • A phone, to reach your agent while you’re away

We don’t list hardware prices. Check the maker’s own store.
