Our story

One agent came first.

We did the hard part by hand until we could do it in software.

Otian is drawn from the Latin otium, the ease that comes when someone you trust handles your affairs.

How we got here

We set up agents by hand, one at a time.

Jack bought a Mac mini and downloaded OpenClaw, which runs on your own computer. Setting it up meant a terminal, so Jett set up the agent for him.

Then we did it for other people, until we knew which steps nobody should ever have to see.

Archie is what we learned: your own computer and an agent that is yours, without the terminal. It’s inspired by OpenClaw, and none of it is built on OpenClaw’s code.

We do the same with add-ons: tell us what Archie can’t do yet, and we quote a price before we build the add-on, which can then join the shelf for everyone.

We met as coworkers at MARA Holdings Inc., Jett in Florida and Jack in Texas. Work with Otian AI and you work with the two of us, start to finish, through Otian AI Consulting.
