2.1 Jobs and Routines

Read by Jack. Pressing play on a video in the library loads YouTube’s player, and YouTube counts that play.

What a job is, the three ways one starts, and how a routine runs on a schedule.

How many jobs a day Archie does for free

  • On an AI account of your own with no plan, Archie does 20 jobs a day. Routines and the mail and text watches stop at 15, so the last 5 are kept for what you ask it yourself.

How does my agent know what to do?

Each task your agent does is called a job.

A job can start in three ways. You ask for something. A scheduled task is due to run. Or something arrives that your agent is set to watch for, such as a new email.

A request such as "Draft a reply to Sam" gives your agent a job to do once.

A routine is a task that runs on a schedule. For example, it might send your daily summary at seven each morning or tell you three days before a bill is due.

You do not need to ask again every time. The routine runs at the times you set.

Each time a routine runs, it counts as a job. Each run uses AI and adds to your AI cost.

Start with a few routines. Add more as you learn what helps you.

Your agent's Jobs tab lists the jobs it has run.
