Claim your agent

Starting your agent makes this computer its owner, so the Chat tab works right away. In a chat app, where strangers can find a bot, it answers nobody until someone sends the six-digit code shown only inside Archie.

Before you start#

• An AI account, or the free credits. Without one, the box says “One thing first” and offers a button that takes you there.
• Your agent started. The code stays hidden until then.
• Your chat app open on your phone or computer.

Send the claim code#

1. In Archie, open your agent’s Setup tab and pick Who can message it on the left.
2. Not live yet? Press Start agent in that box. The six digits appear once it’s running.
3. In your chat app, open a chat with your agent: the bot you made, under the name you gave it.
4. Send the six digits like any other message.
5. Your agent writes back. You own it now.

You’ll know it worked when#

Your agent writes back and asks a few questions about you; answering helps it fit your life. In Archie, the claim box becomes a check, with your name under who can message it. From then on it replies whenever it’s started and Archie is open on this computer.

If something goes wrong#

• No code showing: the agent isn’t started, or the AI account or chat app isn’t connected. Archie says which in that box.
• No reply to the code: check the agent is still switched on (the button at the top of its page reads Switch off). On Telegram, check you sent it to your own bot.
• Even the right code is refused: after five wrong guesses in a row, claiming locks for fifteen minutes. Wait, then send it again.
• “This agent isn’t answering anyone”, in red: the list of approved people couldn’t be read, so your agent turns everyone away to be safe. Press Reset access and make a new claim code, then claim it again.
