Getting started
What Archie connects to
Which apps and services your agent can work with, grouped by job, and where to connect each one.
This guide is also in Archie: press Resources in the sidebar, then Guides. Where a step says this computer, it means the computer running Archie.
On this page
Archie reaches each of these from this computer, on your own account where there is one. Archie Mobile is the one that goes through our servers, locked so we cannot read it. What your agent reads goes to the AI company that answers you, as the guide called Where your information goes explains.
Mail and calendar#
- Gmail and Google Calendar.
- Outlook mail and calendar: Outlook.com, Hotmail, Live, or a work or school account.
- iCloud, Fastmail, Yahoo, AOL, Zoho Mail, and GMX, with an app password you make on that provider's website: mail, plus the calendar where the provider has one. These have not yet been tried on a real account.
Connect them on your agent's Connections tab, under Email, calendar, files. Email features need an AI account of your own: they do not run on the free trial's credits or a plan with the AI included.
Files#
- Google Drive, but only the Sheets and Docs you pick in Google's own picker.
- Files you add on your agent's Knowledge tab, which stay on this computer.
- A file attached to an email your agent reads.
To-do lists and meetings#
- Todoist, and Google Tasks through a Google account.
- Fireflies, the meeting recorder.
- Zoom recordings saved on this computer. Archie has no connection to a Zoom account.
Chat apps#
- Telegram, Discord, Slack, and Matrix.
- iMessage, on a Mac only. Windows has no iMessage.
- Archie Mobile, our own phone app: from the App Store on iPhone, or as a download on Android. It needs a plan or a free trial.
Pick one on your agent's Setup tab, under Chat app. With none, your agent answers in the Archie window.
Business tools#
Follow Up Boss connects with a key. In Follow Up Boss, open Admin, then API, press Create API Key, and paste the key on the Connections tab, under Apps. Then ask your agent to bring in your people, deals, or tasks. They come in on a card you look over, nothing is added to your lists until you press Add, and nothing in Follow Up Boss is changed. GoHighLevel connects directly. Make a token for it in your GoHighLevel sub-account's Settings, under Private Integrations, and paste it on the Connections tab, under Apps.
Square, Acuity Scheduling, and Instagram posts through Zernio are in the store, and have not yet been tried on a real account. Neither has Follow Up Boss.
Texting#
Texting works only on a Mac, through its Messages app; Windows has no texting. The Text Replies add-on reads the texts that arrive there and writes a reply to each one that needs it, and nothing goes out until you press Send. It needs an AI account of your own, so it does not run on the free trial's credits or a plan with the AI included. Phone calls are a switch of their own: with Call businesses on, on the Setup tab under What it can do, your agent can phone a business on your own Bland account, after you press Place the call.
Lights at home#
Your agent can switch Philips Hue, WiZ and LIFX lights and plugs on your own wifi, once you add each one on the Connections tab, under Home devices. These have not yet been tried with real lights.
Websites and apps#
For a website with no connection of its own, Computer control lets your agent open the site and use it itself, on a Mac or Windows, and on a Mac the apps you allow. It is off until you turn it on, on the Connections tab, under Computer control.
Something not on the list#
The Apps list on the Connections tab has more, with a search box. Most of those were built from each company's published instructions and have not yet been tried on a real account. For an app that is not there, press Something else, give it a name, the web address of its API and the key that app gave you, then write a skill that uses it. This works only with an app that hands out a key.
A step that no longer matches your screen? The other company may have changed its site since we last checked. Tell us which step and we will fix the guide in Archie and here.
